Well hello there. I'm here to make another guide, this one based on playing SNES online. Now, if any of you were here quite awhile ago, you will know I made a tutorial for a program that lets you play SNES online. This one is different, and I'll explain why near the end. I'm going to make this very easy, and put it in a few steps. 1. Download the Classic Gaming Arena Client 2. Register on the Forums. This will be your account for the client. Remember your username + password. 3. Extract the client you just downloaded. 4. Run "registerfiles.bat" 5. Load up cga.exe. 6. Set it up, it is quite self explanitory. Hey. I did that in 6 steps, not bad. Now, as mentioned above, I'll give you a few benefits to using this program. The Benefits -Supports SNES Online: 2 Players [ZSNES] -Supports NES Online: 2 Players [Virtual NES] -Supports Genesis/SegaCD/Gamegear/Mastersystem. [Kegafusion] -Has active admins [If someone is very annoying, they get kicked/banned.] -Has a chat room built in. -Is Peer 2 Peer [Like ZBattle, but supports the above systems. This also means no lag.] And that's what it supports right now. If you don't like what you are hearing - go check out my guide to ZBattle. ------------------------------------------------------------- Additional Tools Since I have mentioned that CGA supports more then a few emulators, I'll post the emulators that it supports. These are direct download links. ZSNES 1.42 [SNES] ZSNES 1.36 [SNES] ZSNES 1.337 [SNES] Virtual NES 0.97 [NES] Kega Fusion 3.51 [Genesis/SegaCD/Gamegear/Mastersystem] ------------------------------------------------------------------- Additional Info This is where you come if you are having some problems doing things. Like any other program in the world, they require you to forward ports for it to work. Here are the following ports required to work: 7845 UDP & TCP [To Play ZSNES & NES] 7157 TCP [To Download From Other Players] 5394 UDP [KegaFusion] |

Homebrew developer uberjack does it again. Already responsible for several emulators for the PSP - including ColEm, fMSX, and Caprice32 - uberjack now gives us a Free Unix Spectrum Emulator - otherwise known as Fuse - a Sinclair Spectrum emulator.
The Sinclair Spectrum system had a lot of games during its time, so you won't be at a loss for retro gaming with this emulator. Another great thing about uberjack's release is support for ZIP files. Here's what uberjack has to say about the release:
Joining the cornucopia of emulators today is a port of the Free Unix Spectrum Emulator (Fuse), a Sinclair Spectrum emulator. A nice addition to the PSP port is support for ZIP files.
I’m happy with most of the port, however, there is an issue with intermittent tape loading hangs that I will be investigating further. To mitigate this issue (and Spectrum’s slow tape loads), I'm (grudgingly, for those of you who remember Caprice32 ;) ) adding support for Z80 files from the game tab. The 'autoload slot' feature is also available.
Be sure to read the documentation included in the download archive for more information. The readme includes information such as installation, controls, and known issues.
You Can Find It On Our Fuse Page Located Here.

Notaz, the PSP homebrew developer who came up with the Sega Genesis and Sega CD emulator, PicoDrive, managed to release an update that tweaks the emulator's mp3 tool among others.
Now in version 1.51, users of PicoDrive will see improved performance, as well as a revised bin_to_cso_mp3 tool, among other bugfixes. Check out the complete changelog:
* Improved bin_to_cso_mp3 tool, it should no longer complain about missing lame.exe even if it's in working dir.
* Fixed a regression from 1.50, which caused slowdowns in Final Fight.
* Fixed some regressions from 1.50 related to sprite limit and palette handling (caused graphical glitches in some games).
* Added ABC turbo actions to key config.
* Some other minor adjustments.
As always, do not forget to read the accompanying readme file before you install the game. Important instructions such as proper installation are included in the text file, so you better not skip it to ensure optimum performance when trying to run the program. Enjoy!
you can find it on our picodrive page located HERE.

The new site's been open for almost a week, I guess everyone has settled down a bit and the forum is off to a good start. In line with this, I'm looking for people willing to help moderate the occasional issue that comes up on the boards.
You must have been an active poster in this last week. You must be well behaved and level headed. You must know the rules.
Please note that since the forum is not that active (yet), I'm currently looking for only 3 people, so don't take it at heart if you don't make it.
If you're ready to apply, send me a PM: http://www.zophar.net/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=1
